Read-A-Thon 2020!
HAMMOND ELEMENTARY PTC 2020 READ-A-THON! In honor of Read Across America Week & Dr Seuss’ Birthday March 2nd - Mar 6th we will be doing a READ-A-THON! Today: Set your reading goal! How many minutes can you read in a week? Challenge yourself! You can do it! Feb 24th: Start getting pledges! Your friends and family can pledge any amount they choose per min read OR they can pledge a flat rate. Mar 2nd: START READING! Keep track of the minutes you have read at home and at school until Friday March 6th! Mar 7th: Start collecting your pledges. Impress your friends and family with the outstanding amount of reading you have accomplished! Mar 10th: Turn your read-a-thon packet in at the front lobby. ***PRIZES***PRIZES***PRIZES***PRIZES***PRIZES***PRIZES*** Most Donations Collected : 3RD PLACE: $20 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THE BOOK FAIR! 2ND PLACE: $30 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO THE BOOK FAIR! 1ST PLACE: A BRAND NEW KINDLE! Hey Bobcats! Did you see your READ-A-THON packet come home last week? Here's what to expect: NOW: Start collecting pledges from your friends and family. Pledges can be per min read or a flat fee. Join us by reading reading reading and reading some more... give a Happy Birthday shout out to Dr Seuss... and have fun dressing up ALL WEEK!! Kindergarten Registration info!
Tuesday, February 20 opens kindergarten registration for all children aged 5 on or before September 10, 2018 for Salem-Keizer Public Schools. Research has shown that attending kindergarten contributes to long- term educational gains and a greater chance of reaching high school graduation.
